WiCell seeks a full-time Facility Coordinator to join our team! This position monitors, performs, and coordinates activities associated with the physical, safety, and environmental conditions of WiCell’s facility and laboratories. This position serves as a liaison with employees and vendors to provide high quality building services, assures WiCell meets or exceeds defined safety standards by verifying adherence or performing tasks associated with the safety policies, and schedules equipment and facility maintenance and repairs. This practical, hands-on role provides a wide range of services that requires managing a regular workload while also being able to respond to requests that are more urgent. Regular workload includes maintaining WiCell’s stockroom inventory, updating job related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and equipment files, and cleaning laboratory equipment. Candidates should have excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to analyze and assess situations, identify issues, and implement action plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with basic laboratory equipment preferred. Enrollment in or completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous experience working in a similar role in the biotechnology industry or practical experience of general laboratory technician/assistant duties preferred.
