WiCell seeks a full-time Lab Assistant to join our team! The Lab Assistant will help with coordination, performance and monitoring of activities associated with the maintenance of WiCell’s laboratories, stockroom, storage areas and office spaces. This position serves as the primary contact with other WiCell employees in maintaining inventories of critical materials and assisting with equipment and facility maintenance. This position will work with all levels of the organization to fulfill the WiCell Quality System goals for a safe and productive work environment.
This practical, hands-on role provides a wide range of services that requires managing a regular workload while also being able to respond to requests that are more urgent. This position will require occasional evening and weekend work. WiCell is located at 504 S. Rosa Road in Research Park on the west side of Madison.
Candidates should have excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with basic laboratory equipment preferred. Enrollment in or completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree in science, occupational safety, engineering or a related field preferred or equivalent experience doing similar work in a laboratory setting.
