    The Opportunity

    WiCell seeks a Student Lab Assistant to support stem cell research objectives by preparing materials and paperwork; maintaining inventory, equipment and reagents; performing reagent deliveries to campus once per week; and assisting with additional lab and administrative activities to support the WiCell Stem Cell Bank and WiCell Core lab. Work is normally performed in a typical laboratory environment for approximately 8-12 hours per week.

    Qualifications

    Candidates must be a current student. At least one year of laboratory experience is preferred.  Candidates should have the ability to handle multiple assignments at one time and prioritize; follow established policies and procedures to complete tasks; ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, reliability, and responsibility. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting are required.  Candidate must also have reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license.
